We are a young and energetic company looking for contract staff as a Web programmer and designer for minimum of 3 months.
He/She is responsible for developing new websites and assist the Project Manager in the current websites. Programming, graphic design and database administration are all elements of this position.
There is possibility to transfer to permanent position if we find you suitable for the job.
Job Description/ ResponsibiltiesSkills
- Full time home-based job,
- 5 days working week
- Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Maintain and enhance existing Websites
- Conduct all user acceptances testing, and report results
- Candidate must be a team player
- Work closely with Project Manager to ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Able to work Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications
- The ability to communicate and teach non-technical users a plus
- Strong attention to details a must
- Ability to work additional hours as needed.
- Communicate to the Project Manager with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays.
- Develop innovative, reusable Web-based tools for activism and community building.
- Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Design or a related field, or significant equivalent experience
- Proficient in Internet/Developer related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP .clients, Notepads Plus and All Web Browsers.
- Must have strong skills in Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash or equivalent application(s)
- Experience and Knowledge in developing Flash and CMS websites.
- Web programming experience, including PHP, CSS, JAVA, Javascript, HTML5
- Experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL
- Self-starter with strong self-management skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
